Always use strong passwords. It is the easiest way to increase security to your system and websites, even your other web based accounts. Also keep in mind some time while increasing security, people forget their difficult password and that become another mess. You keep the balance between them depending on your own needs.
Keep your softwares up date. Many Computer application keeps on updating their versions as time goes , to keep them current with technologies also from the viruses which appeared later from their release. So it is good advice to keep on installing their latest patches and updates even you don't need that time. Even in web designing this can be very helpful.
